Moat's success with affordable homes open evening at Peters Village

Kent-based housing association Moat has staged an open evening to showcase a selection of shared ownership properties at Peters Village, the all-new 1,000-home community being built in the Medway Valley.

Rural in nature, but with excellent communications to London and neighbouring Kent centres like Maidstone, the Medway Towns and Bluewater, Peters Village offers great prospects for jobs, education, shopping and leisure.

And those aiming to re-locate to this go-ahead community, now have more choice due to Moat's collection of one and two-bedroom apartments (shares from £60,000 and £81,000 respectively) and three bedroom houses for shared ownership (shares from £109,500) at Victoria Gardens and Buckland Rise.

These starter homes come with all the features for modern living, including fully-fitted gloss kitchens, integrated Zanussi appliances, allocated parking and a 12-year NHBC build warranty.

Moat Sales Manager Hannah Smart said: “Shares start from just 30% for these sought after homes, making them an excellent way to get onto the property ladder in a great location.

“We staged a busy open evening on Thursday 6 June, especially as the quickest home hunters could move in within weeks. Open evening guests were able to view two homes, see the internal specifications, go on to reserve these or future builds off-plan, and even speak to independent mortgage advisers at the event.

"But any homehunter can apply to reserve a property by registering their interest via our Peters Village website (see below)."

She added: "Peters Village is an idyllic riverside location and the new Peters Bridge over the Medway from the A228 has created quick links to the M2, M20 and M25. There are also high-speed train and commuter coach services into Central London."

"Despite this wider ‘connectivity’ though, Peters Village has also been laid out for sustainable transport, with a network of public footpaths and cycleways and even has its own SSSI (site of special scientific interest) nature reserve, of which existing residents are already extremely proud, while the new primary school will soon be joined by a village centre comprising supermarket and shops, village hall plus playing fields, and a medical centre.”
